Chassis No. 637038
Body No. SL 2565
Odometer: 51,543 miles. Judging from pre-restoration photographs this appears accurate. Probably less than 1,000 miles since restoration.

A classic “barn find” (actually a very nice garage) of an exceptionally original low mileage well treated American left hand drive Convertible Drophead Coupe where it had been sitting untouched for many years.

Of the 375 left hand drive Mark IVs hand built, only a few were convertibles, and only few survive today.

Extensive nut and bolt restoration about ten years ago. The Drophead has been meticulously stored and maintained since its blank check restoration and scoring 94 out of a 100 points at Meadowbrook Concours de Elegance.

There is no better color combination than Jaguar Primrose Yellow to properly present this stylish automobile. In my opinion, red is garish, black, gray, and brown colors are ho-hum, while this pale and soft color perfectly sets off its flowing lines. It is further complimented with burgundy Connelly leather and matching leather trimmed Wilton carpets, new burled walnut wood interior, black German convertible top, and soft beige insulated headliner.

Every piece of chrome was refinished to show quality standards except the headlights which were so excellent and original they didn’t need it. Rebuilt twin carbureted twin overhead cam 3.5 liter six cylinder motor runs very smooth and the gearbox shifts nicely. It is complete except tools and manuals which are available through Jaguar clubs and other sources, if desired (the trunk tool cut out board is installed). Of course, new tires, glass, rubber seals and everything else expected of a show quality restoration.

This gorgeous Classic is not a trailer queen, it is ready for show and smooth touring with the best of them.
